September’s Eating In Goals

September 22, 2010

Well, overall I have to say I did okay. Certainly not fabulous in terms of preparing the majority of our meals. I planned and wrote down what we had for dinners, as lunch tends to be my major pitfall for eating out. As the month wore on, I have ventured from home on fewer occasions and eating out just doesn’t seem to be worth the hassle.

Here’s the month so far:
Sandwiches
Swedish meatballs, squash casserole, mashed potatoes, garlic bread
Chicken with mixed veggies in a white sauce over egg noodles
Acorn squash and sweet potatoes (that was all I wanted – other people may have had some leftovers too, can’t remember)
leftover chicken pasta from Tuesday, garlic toast
Kibbe, rice pilaf, sautéed green beans with red peppers
Mary’s Party with our local homeschooling group (catered dinner with BBQ and snow cones!)
Stuffed clams, don’t remember sides
Broccoli cheddar quiche, vegetable soup, garlic toast
Chick Fil A Kids night (kids eat free w/parent meal)
Broccoli chicken with white sauce, sweet potatoes, acorn squash, crème brûlée
Ground beef and red lentils type dal over mashed potatoes
Fridge clean out (soup, leftover chicken casserole, leftover dal/mashed potatoes)
Anniversary dinner at Houston’s
Spaghetti with meatballs, leftover vegetable soup
Fried eggs, toast, strawberries
Arroz con pollo, green beans
Hamburgers and fries at Five Guys Burgers and Fries (yes, pregnancy craving – I had nausea all night from it thanks)
Chili with avocados and tortilla chips
Sandwiches
Pizza (Care of in laws)
Salisbury steaks with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, yellow squash
Red beans on yellow rice
Spaghetti squash and pasta sauce
